Day 6: August 28, 2006
On this day we drove back from Ingonish to the Halifax area. We chose to take the Marine Drive from the Canso causeway to the Halifax area. The weather was mostly cloudy, making the views less scenic. In addition, much of this road is rather bumpy and curvy, making for a slow trip. Lastly, we had been spoiled by the Cape Breton Highlands, which is far more scenic than the marine drive. This made for a less than pleasant trip. If we had to do it again, we would take the direct route and spend more time in Halifax.
In Halifax, we had reservations that evening for the Grafton Street Dinner Theater. It was a rather silly, but entertaining production, and the food was nice.
